How Much Affidavit Support Means For U.s Spouse Visa?

Friday 3 September 2010 @ 10:17 pm

Hi,
My spouse visa interview is scheduled soon. My wife submitted my case from U.S Last year, to USICIS, and then to N.V.C where she submitted her Affidavit of support of three years income tax return and the latest one.
She has three kids, but only one is minor. One of her kid is on her own and the other child is supporting herself also, My wife only pays for her tuition fees, Now the only child she takes care is 16 year old. She is R.N and earns around 6000 USD a month.
I don’t have much cash in my account, and no any other asset. But my wife lawyer and my wife told me that i don’t need to show any income from my side, Its her that they going to see that if she can afford me till i get my own citizenship, and she said the N.V.C would have not completed the case if she would have not been able to proove her sufficient support to take care me.
Since its approved, Now, the U.S Consular is simply going to take my interview and its not going to be about my saving and my source of income.
Can you throw some light on this point for me please
Your positive answer would be a great help
Thank you once again

Why Is My Husband Acting Like This…?

Friday 3 September 2010 @ 10:17 pm

… I am a sahm and my husband works full time. My mom invited my daughter and I to come stay with her for labor day weekend. She has a lot of fun things planned for is to do and I am usually always at home, I never get to go out in the world besides walking to the park everyday for our daughter to play. I don’t drive so it makes things hard. I don’t have any friends, mostly just aquaintances which is fine by me, I am not very social anyway, but sometimes I get so lonely, I practically jump on my husband when he comes home from work. I know that is not healthy and he cannot be my only source of adult interaction so I have been hanging out with my mom lately. Her property is beautiful and my daughter and I have a fun time exporing it.
Anyway, normally he acts like I am annoying because I talk too much and I am a nag and a mean witch. He has to tell me I talk too much all the time. It’s just because he is the only one I have to talk to. So, now I am going to my mom’s for the weekend with our daughter and he acting all mopey and weird about it. I don’t get it, when I am here, I am annoying him, but he wants me to stay here? Shouldn’t he be happy to get some space? It’s good for us to have a weekend apart and he could come if he didn’t have to work. It’s not like I am being rude about it and it’s only for 2 days. The house will be quiet, he won’t have to hear me nagging or our daughter climbing him like a jungle gym. He can chill with friends or whatever he wants. When I am here with him, I am a huge annoyance to him so why does he care if I leave?

Can A Landlord Keep My Bond For This Damage?

Friday 3 September 2010 @ 10:17 pm

I rented a nice property for almost 3 years and took good care of the place. However after recently moving out, the real estate agent are saying that they want to keep $1000 of my bond to resurface a black marble kitchen benchtop. There are a few white stains around the sink area. It had a small sink area and no steel area to put wet things on so inevitably, the area around the sink occasionally got wet. The benchtop is at least ten years old and has never been re-sealed, making it susceptible to absorbing liquid. I feel that it is unreasonable for them to expect the kitchen area never be wet or than an untreated marble bench would never be stained. There are no cracks or chips or scratches anywhere and the rest of the bench is fine. If we can’t come to an agreement it will go to tribunal. Should I negotiate? How much is reasonable?
